What Sawnee EMC offers

Level 2 Charger Rebate (residential)

Open

Sawnee EMC

A rebate, paid as a bill credit, for a residential member who installs a Level 2 charger for an all-electric car and keeps that meter on a time-of-use or EV rate for at least a year.

Who qualifies and how to apply
How much
Half of the total cost, up to a maximum of $200 per Sawnee EMC member.
Who qualifies
Residential members whose charger meter is billed on the Residential Time of Use (TU), Critical Peak Pricing (CPPR) or Plug in Electric Vehicle (PEV) rate for at least 12 months (leaving the rate early brings back prior bills and a $200 rebate recall fee); all-electric vehicle, hybrids do not qualify; new 240-volt Level 2 charger rated 40 amps or more, UL or ETL listed, purchased and installed in the present year; portable, second-hand and vehicle-supplied units do not qualify; online application with receipt and specification sheet; Sawnee EMC verifies the installation.
When to apply
A qualifying time-based rate or rate-change commitment is required; apply using the installed-charger records. Leaving the rate before 12 consecutive months triggers prior-bill adjustments and the stated rebate recall fee.
Deadline
Requests for work completed in 2026 are due by December 31st; funds are available during the current calendar year while they remain.
