A rebate on a UL-certified Level 2 charger that a KEYS residential, multifamily or commercial customer buys and installs, with an extra amount for an ENERGY STAR model.
Who qualifies and how to apply
- How much
- Up to $400 per charger: a $350.00 base rebate for a UL-certified Level 2 charger plus a $50.00 efficiency rebate if it is ENERGY STAR certified, credited to the customer's electric account and never more than the cost of the charger and installation. Single-family and commercial accounts: up to two base and two efficiency rebates every five years. Multifamily common-area accounts: one of each per year for two to ten units; above ten units, up to the lesser of ten or ten percent of the units.
- Who qualifies
- Single-family residential, multifamily residential and commercial KEYS customers who buy and install a UL-certified Level 2 charger on their own premises in KEYS' territory. Apply within 90 days of purchase with proof of purchase and proof of installation (contractor invoice, or a photo and serial number if self-installed); multifamily customers and renters need proof that installation is allowed. KEYS may inspect before paying.
- When to apply
- Request follows purchase/installation and must reach KEYS within 90 days of purchase; the form does not establish a separate reservation before work.
- Deadline
- No end date published; apply within 90 days of purchase. Rebates are first-come, first-served and subject to funding.
