What Georgia Power offers

Business EV Charger Plus Rebate

Open

Georgia Power

A rebate on each new Level 2 or DC fast charger a Georgia Power business customer installs, paid by the charger's power rating.

Who qualifies and how to apply
How much
Level 2 at $250/kW and DC fast at $150/kW; up to $30,000 per project and $60,000 per year, and never more than 50% of the charger, installation and material cost.
Who qualifies
Georgia Power business customers on a commercial or industrial rate with an active, permanent account. Chargers must be new, NRTL-certified, at least Level 2 (208/240 V) on a dedicated circuit, no portable connectors, installed by a licensed electrician within the current calendar year. Pre-approval is recommended but not required. Cannot be combined with the Make Ready program.
When to apply
Current terms require application approval before installing newly purchased equipment. They also state a calendar-year or no-more-than-six-month post-installation rebate-submission limit; obtain the administrator’s pre-installation approval rather than treating the latter as an exemption.
Deadline
No end date published; available while funds last. Apply within the calendar year or within 6 months after installation.

Multifamily EV Charger Plus Rebate

Open

Georgia Power

A flat rebate on each new Level 2 charger a multifamily property owner installs.

Who qualifies and how to apply
How much

Who qualifies
Multifamily property owners with a Georgia Power commercial or industrial account, or a residential-rate account registered under a business entity name. Level 2 (208/240 V) only, no DC fast chargers; new, NRTL-certified, on a dedicated circuit, installed by a licensed electrician.
When to apply
Current multifamily terms require application approval before installing newly purchased equipment; observe the separate calendar-year/six-month submission language and confirm project-specific timing.
Deadline
No end date published; available while funds last. Apply within the calendar year or within 6 months after installation.

Make Ready Infrastructure Program

Open

Georgia Power

Georgia Power builds, owns and maintains the electrical infrastructure behind the meter up to the charger ports of a public-facing charging site; the customer buys and installs the chargers.

Who qualifies and how to apply
How much
Up to $300K in funding per qualifying project, delivered as Georgia Power-built and -owned infrastructure up to, not including, the chargers.
Who qualifies
Georgia Power business customers, including commercial and industrial customers, municipalities, universities, schools, hospitals and multifamily developments; not residential. Six or more charging ports, or at least one DC fast charger. Chargers must be public-facing: at multifamily, hospital and other business sites they must be publicly accessible, open to the general public at the same rate, and findable in a public charger locator such as PlugShare, so chargers reserved for guests or residents do not qualify. Cannot be combined with the Business EV Charger Plus Rebate.
When to apply
Coordinate utility application/design/agreement before construction; Georgia Power builds and owns funded make-ready.
Deadline
Scheduled to be available until December 31, 2028, or until funding runs out; funded first come, first served.

Who qualifies
Georgia Power residential customers in a single-family home or townhome, on any rate; the owner, or with the owner's written permission. New wall- or pedestal-mounted Level 2 (208/240 V) charger on a dedicated circuit; mobile connectors do not qualify. Third-party vendors and EV charging businesses are not eligible.
