Who qualifies and how to apply

How much: 50% of eligible costs up to $700 for one charger
Who qualifies: Maryland residential individual who directly buys the equipment, including a qualifying single-family or multifamily household; valid individual tax ID, Maryland site and licensed electrical work where claimed.
When to apply: No upfront reservation. Apply only after equipment is acquired, installed, operating and paid in full.
Deadline: May 31, 2027 at 3 p.m. Eastern, or earlier budget closure; also within six months of payment in full

FY27 Community EVSE Grant Program

Competitive community Level 2/DCFC funding, due December 9, 2026; the revised October 9 FOA has power/ownership port formulas and applicant caps. Costs before the grant's effective date are generally ineligible.

Who qualifies and how to apply

How much: Per-port formula: owner-operated MFH/curbside $8,500–$125,000; third-party MFH/curbside $6,000–$100,000. Parking-hub/workplace/fleet owner-operated $7,000–$100,000; third-party $5,500–$85,000, depending on 6–17, 18–49, 50–149 or 150+ kW bands.
Who qualifies: Eligible Maryland businesses/nonprofits/local governments/education institutions; MFH at least five units. Third-party applicant and site host must both be eligible. Regulated utilities, state/federal/foreign agencies, specified public senior universities and individual homeowners are excluded.
When to apply: Executed grant agreement before reimbursement; no prior expenses unless MEA agrees in writing. Award is competitive, not a purchase entitlement.
Deadline: December 9, 2026 at 3 p.m. Eastern
